Update: Further investigation reveals that paypal fees somewhat decrease revenue. The entire total in my paypal account is listed below, all of which will go to the server.

Summer has finally thrown in the financial towel, and has ceased supporting the server entirely.

This means that we cannot live the life of luxury and ridiculous horsepower that we have been.

This also means that our vague plans for a town-based RP server will be put on hold indefinitely.

On the 20th of October, we'll be switching to a cheaper server.

But as you know, 'cheap' is still pretty damn expensive.

So here's the details

- The new server would run about $140 USD a month, a much more reasonable number down from $250 USD.

- We'd have the same bandwidth, data transfer rate, and location - your ping would be unchanged!

- Since Minecraft servers are not multi-threaded, the absence of 4 extra cores will not be felt.

- We'll be running 8 gigs instead of 16, but the server only uses 3-4 gigs now anyway.

- We have 2 TB right now. We use <100GB. Pretty damn sure we won't mind running only 250gigs.

So the short version is, we'll have roughly the same performance, but at less cost.

BUT! Now that Summer has disavowed the server entirely (making me the sole owner), the server urgently needs to be self-sufficient.

I am but a poor college student, the sum total of my income barely keeps me eating. I can contribute little more than my code and the man-hours to keep the server operational and up-to-date.

So in order to make our transition as easy as possible, we need $140 USD by October 20th.

Additionally, to make the future as uncomplicated as possible, anyone who can pledge monthly support, of any value, would be greatly appreciated.
